Adult Education Tutor

• This is a part-time position, one day per week, eight hours each day in Bad Axe
• Potential extra half day in Caro location and extra half day in Sandusky
• Ideal position for a retired teacher or educator. Teaching/tutoring experience preferred.
• Must have excellent math, reading, social science, and science skills to help students prepare for the GED test by providing direct instruction and support. Familiarity with the GED test preferred.
• Tutor will administer standardized tests to assess student skills and support students as they seek to improve those skills.
• Tutor must have good computer skills and ability to navigate online sites. Training and support will be provided. Familiarity with Google Suites preferred.
• Tutor must demonstrate great patience with students and have the ability to accurately complete paperwork and follow up documentation. Confidentiality and ability to meet deadlines are critical.
• Tutor will help with career exploration activities, test sign ups, voucher acquisitions, and explanation of related requirements.
• Bachelors Degree or higher preferred.
• This position will be based in Bad Axe after initial training period and has potential to work at in Caro or Sandusky locations and additional hours in a substitute capacity.
• Potential for paid mileage to remote job sites.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
