Adult Programming Specialist

The Community Library Network at Post Falls has a 40-hour Adult Programming Specialist position open. Work hours may include evening and weekend hours.

The Adult Programming Specialist position will work independently and collaboratively to plan and deliver activities and programming for adults under the direction of the Adult Programming Manager. The position will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs for adults in support of library goals and community needs. Responsibilities include encouraging reading, literacy, and use of library facilities and materials. This position requires understanding of adult literature and reading interests.

The successful applicant has:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
• Two years’ work experience in a customer service setting
• Two years’ work experience in a public library setting
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
• Enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn and lead
