ADULT SERVICES CIRCULATION CLERK

Overview:
Livingston County Library is seeking detail-oriented, part-time circulation clerk positions available in the Adult Services Department at the Main Library. The ideal candidates will have a passion for customer service and possess strong organizational skills to support our operations. Duties include circulation responsibilities, shelving duties, and offering great customer service. Good communication, computer skills and knowledge are required.

Responsibilities:
- File and maintain records accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and professionally
- Utilize databases to input, update, and retrieve information
- Perform circulation desk tasks efficiently
- Conduct research as needed
- Support integrated library system operations

Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service
- Proficiency in using databases for data entry and retrieval
- Ability to write clearly and effectively for documentation purposes
- Experience in software troubleshooting is a plus
- Familiarity with integrated library systems is advantageous
- Excellent typing skills for data entry tasks
- Strong research capabilities to gather information efficiently
- Comfortable with computerized systems and technology

Positions would be 10-15 hours a week. Starting at 2026 minimum wage of $15.00 and could increase due to previous experience in a library or office type setting. Schedule would be the evening shift and Saturday hours availability are a must.
