Job Overview
Dave’s Complete Auto Service is looking for a highly skilled Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for an A-level technician who enjoys solving complex problems and is capable of handling both advanced diagnostics and the repairs required to fix the issue properly.
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for a technician who can confidently diagnose electrical, drivability, and network communication issues and then complete the necessary repairs to ensure the vehicle is fixed right the first time.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, and intermittent vehicle issues
- Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools, oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams, and service information systems
- Diagnose CAN bus and module communication faults
- Perform parasitic draw testing, voltage drop testing, and circuit analysis
- Accurately determine root causes of vehicle problems
- Perform the repairs necessary to resolve the diagnosed issue, including mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs
- Verify repairs through proper testing and quality control procedures
- Clearly document diagnostic findings and recommended repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other technicians when needed on difficult problems
Experience
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
- Strong background in electrical and drivability diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical service information
- Experience diagnosing advanced vehicle systems and network communication issues
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic scan tools
- Ability to perform both diagnostics and general vehicle repairs
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal professional-grade tools required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
