Advanced Engineer II - System Test

Position Description

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining test automation framework and scripts for smart home control applications and mobile applications system for Residential market. You will use your technical expertise/automation skills and product understanding to enable end to end automation and voice out quality concerns and make sure to provide high quality products to our customers.

Job Description

• Responsible for development and maintenance for Test automation frameworks used for end-to-end system testing for residential HVAC products.
• Responsible for framework enhancements or updates needed for new products and optimization of current framework.
• Responsible for system requirements understanding and converting requirements into effective feature files, keywords and test automation scripts.
• Develop test automation scripts for critical features of product and mobile applications in both iOS and android platforms.
• Update and maintain automation environment setup for both iOS and android platforms.
• Responsible for execution of existing automation scripts and development of automation scripts for new requirements and analysis for automation failures.
• Test automation report generations and pre-analysis of test results to determine failure patterns.
• Work closely in agile environment with system test team along with cross functional teams (development, mobile app, cloud) for better understanding of system to be tested and contribute to quality of products.

Must Have skills

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience and expertise in handling Java, Appium and BDD based frameworks for both iOS and android platforms.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation scripts development using Java Appium and BDD framework for both iOS and android platforms.
• Minimum 3 years debugging and analyzation skills on automation setup and execution along with experience on mobile & Cloud based applications.
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving with flexibility to learn new domain and technologies.
• 4 years of experience in test automation frameworks like Keyword, hybrid and data driven for Mobile applications required for script development.
• Minimum 4 years of experience test processes, Agile process, SDLC/STLC.
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

We value

• Home automation controls and smart home apps background is preferable.
• Exposure to automation using MQTT will be added advantage.
• Understanding on Bamboo setup, XRAY integration and API's testing will be added advantage.
• Understanding of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) domain/products is preferred.
