Advanced Inspector ( PAUT / TOFD)

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced PAUT / TOFD Inspector to perform advanced ultrasonic inspections in compliance with international standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in phased array and TOFD techniques, along with proven experience in oil & gas projects.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of overall experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience after obtaining PCN PAUT certification
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Power Plant projects preferred
• GCC / ADNOC project experience will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PAUT and TOFD inspections as per approved procedures, client specifications, and international standards
• Set up, calibrate, and operate PAUT/TOFD equipment for inspection of welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components
• Interpret and evaluate inspection data (A-scan, B-scan, S-scan) and accurately identify discontinuities
• Prepare and submit detailed technical inspection reports
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, and ISO standards
• Verify equipment calibration and functionality before and after inspections
• Maintain proper inspection records and documentation
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives
• Strictly adhere to HSE policies and site safety procedures

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PAUT & TOFD principles, scanning, and interpretation
• Proficiency in scan planning software (NDT Setup Builder, Tomoview, BeamTool)
• Good understanding of codes and standards (ASME Section V, B31.3, API 1104)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team

Certification Requirements

• Valid PCN Level II certification in PAUT (Mandatory)
• Valid PCN Level II in TOFD (Preferred / Project dependent)
• Additional certifications (UT, MT, PT, RTFI, etc.) will be an added advantage
