Minimum Qualifications:
1 of the most recent 2 years’ experience working as a pharmacy technician in an advanced setting
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Current registry with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy
One of the following:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification
Other:
Maintain one of the following Infirmary Health Pathways:
- Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique Pathway
- Controlled Substance Pathway
- Inventory Management Pathway
- Possess similar experience at a former employer and maintain one of the above pathways within 6 months of placement in position*
If IH Pathway requirement is not successfully completed within the timeframe, employee should be transferred into the Technician Pharmacy position in accordance with IH policy and procedures
Facilitates operational efficiencies by providing assistance to pharmacists through procuring, processing, and distributing information and pharmaceuticals.
