**Job Opening: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant**
Genesis Behavioral Health is on the lookout for a full-time, passionate, and engaging Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
In this role, you will provide advanced care to patients with psychiatric disorders and may offer psychotherapy under a psychiatrist's guidance. As a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will deliver essential healthcare services to our patients.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and an advanced degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing (APPN) or Physician Assistant program.
- Advanced education must include coursework in basic sciences (pathophysiology, advanced health assessment, brain and behavioral correlates), advanced psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic techniques, along with clinical rotations in outpatient mental health, hospitals, or residential care.
- Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in psychiatric mental health advanced practice nursing or from the National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA).
- Compliance with state regulations governing advanced practice psychiatric mental health care.
- Graduation from an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Current CPR certification.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will also be considered.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Utilize an electronic medical records system for documentation.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and legible documentation.
- Order laboratory tests and other diagnostics.
- Prescribe medications and treatments.
- Ensure continuity of care for patients with chronic psychiatric illnesses.
- Conduct health maintenance visits, providing anticipatory guidance and referrals.
- Manage an average of 1-3 patients per hour.
- Actively participate as a member of the medical team.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and APP staff to develop and update protocols and procedures.
- Participate in clinical committees and other healthcare-related projects.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
- Meet job-specific competencies within established deadlines.
- Engage in one-on-one training with supervising MD and collaboration with the lead APP.
