Premier Independent Physicians is adding an Advanced Practice Provider to our care team in Aubrey, TX.
Our ideal candidate has experience in a primary care/outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides medical care and treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures with the collaboration of a physician
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assist patients’ clinical challenges and health care needs
- Records physical findings, and formulates treatment plans, based on patients’ conditions
- Discusses cases with physician to prepare comprehensive treatment plans
- Submits treatment plans and goals for patients’ for periodic review by a physician
- Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience in patient care management
- Experience using EHR systems
- Strong community health interest
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Broad knowledge of medications, side effects, and contraindications
- In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Compassionate and approachable
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas with no restrictions or discipline
- Current DEA/DPS registration
- At least two (2) years of practice
