The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Inpatient/Substance Abuse role is designed to deliver high-quality healthcare services to patients within an inpatient setting, with a focus on substance use disorders. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations, to identify substance use disorders and related health issues.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring evidence-based practices are utilized.

Prescribe medications and provide therapeutic interventions as appropriate, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and strategies for maintaining long-term recovery.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans, share insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare services.

Stay informed about the latest advancements in substance use treatment and healthcare practices, integrating new knowledge into patient care.

Provide mentorship and guidance to other healthcare staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.

Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an inpatient setting.

Experience in substance use disorder treatment or a related field.

Proven track record of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
