Advanced Practice Provider / NP / PA

North Shore Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Center is the leading provider of general & advanced GI procedures with two state-of-the-art facilities located in Northeastern Ohio. Already one of the largest private practices in the Cleveland area, we are continuing to grow our team and are looking to add an Advance Practicing Provider to our talent pool.

Primary Job Functions:

· Assessing patients medical, physical, and psychosocial status

  • · Will see patients in outpatient office setting
  • · Obtains a relevant health and medical history of patient.
  • · Perform a physical examination based on age and history.
  • · Identify medical and health risks and needs.
  • · Updates and records changes in health status
  • · Develops and provides a relevant patient education plan.
  • · Coordinate discharge plan and reassess the plan as necessary.
  • · Will document/create orders in electronic medical records system.
  • · Prescribe as needed in accordance with the current State Licensure and physician’s collaborative agreement.
  • · Practice in collaboration with the approved Standard Care Arrangement
  • · Assist physicians as requested.
  • · Will receive and return patient & physician calls as needed.
  • ·Travel between office and hospital locations as needed.

· Other Job Functions:

  • Attend internal and external meetings.
  • Comply with all credentialing, privileging, and payer enrollment requirements.
  • Maintains patient’s rights of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Other tasks as requested by the Physician, Director of Operations, and/or the Human Resource Director.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication and listening skills.
  • Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environment with a focus on patient care & efficient practice

Credentials and Experience

  • Must have current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Ohio Board certification and be credentialed through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Physician Assistant Certification (NCCPA).
  • Responsible for maintaining current BLS and ACLS Certifications.
  • Gastroenterology experience strongly preferred
  • Special Requirements
  • Maintain annual TB Screening
  • Maintain hospital credentialing and privileging requirements (drug screening, compliance training, health assessment, etc.) and abide by hospital regulations

Pay: $130,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
