Advanced Test-Prep Teacher (ISEE, SAT, SSAT)

About the Position:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Test Prep Instructor to join our dynamic teaching team. In this role, you will teach and support students preparing for the ISEE, SAT, and SAT exams through engaging lessons and individualized instruction. You’ll plan and implement targeted curriculum and materials that strengthen reading comprehension, writing, and verbal, reasoning skills. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, while employing a variety of instructional strategies to promote learning, confidence, and test-taking success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach and guide students in English language concepts, reading comprehension, writing, and verbal reasoning to prepare for the ISEE, SSAT, and SAT exams
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, practice materials, and assessments tailored to individual student needs and learning goals
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to maximize performance and confidence
  • Use a variety of engaging instructional methods to build critical thinking, test-taking strategies, and time management skills
  • Maintain a positive and motivating learning environment that supports academic growth and student success

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an Ivy League university (required)
  • Must live and reside in the United States (required)
  • Minimum 1 year in a formal teaching or tutoring role with a focus in teaching ISEE, SSAT, SAT test preparation (required)
  • Available to work weekday evenings and Saturdays (required)
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in English (preferred) or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of creating and developing lesson plans or curriculum materials (preferred)

Compensation:

$25 - $45 per hour based on level of experience and qualifications
