Advertising Graphic Designer - Temp

Hey Rhody Media Co, publishers of Hey Rhody, Providence Monthy, The Bay, and So Rhode Island Magazines; the leader in local lifestyle publications in Rhode Island, is looking for a short term Graphic Designer to join our team. The position will be contracted from June 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026. This graphic design position would be 40 hours/week, partially remote.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating display ads for clients based on Account Manager 's instructions
• Be organized and proactive to keep up with incoming advertising builds, pickups, and changes
• Be a good communicator: This job requires working directly with the sales team through email and phone calls to properly execute the clients wishes
• Be able to work independently and maintain workload to hit deadlines
• Managing Ad Materials Archive
• Collaborate with the Advertising Design Director
• Assist with creation of special advertising pages and sponsored content templates

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Knowledge of Google Suite
• Ability to learn new software. Our company uses a CRM for work flows that will need to be learned quickly and is essential to daily operations in this postion
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines in cross-functioning teams as well as independently
• Organizational and coordination skills required to work on multiple projects while maintaining a keen attention to details
• A diverse and creative range of design aesthetics
• Knowledge of print and multimedia design and color theory is a plus
• Experience with pre-press and creating print-ready content
