The Balmoral Group is seeking a strategic AEC Marketing Manager to lead its proposal, pursuit, and marketing operations. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives at the intersection of business development, pursuit strategy, marketing operations, and brand communications within the AEC industry. As a key member of the management team, this individual will help shape overall growth strategy across markets, clients, and sectors while leading the firm’s day-to-day marketing and strategic pursuits, strengthening win strategies, and positioning the firm for competitive selection on key opportunities. The Marketing Manager will bring strong analytical and data-driven capabilities and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with a demonstrated track record of leading AEC pursuits from kickoff through submission and interview, developing win strategies, and coordinating multidisciplinary proposal teams. Key Responsibilities
Marketing Team Leadership
- Integrate company pillars, vision, and business goals into marketing efforts.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a growing marketing team.
- Assign workload, establish priorities, and oversee execution of pursuit and proposal deliverables.
- Coach coordinators on proposal strategy, writing, production, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of pursuit processes, team efficiency, and deliverable quality.
Pursuits & Proposals
- Lead RFQ/RFP/SOQ responses from kickoff through final submission.
- Develop pursuit schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, win themes, and proposal strategy.
- Coordinate with principals, project managers, technical staff, and teaming partners.
- Lead shortlist interview preparation, presentation strategy, Q&A practice, and debriefs.
- Oversee QA/QC for proposal compliance, clarity, branding, and client focus.
- Ensure continuity, quality, and compliance with corporate and RFP standards
Marketing Operations & Content Systems
- Manage internal marketing systems, workflows, and tools supporting pursuit and proposal delivery.
- Direct maintenance of CRM data, project descriptions, resumes, boilerplate, photography, and content libraries.
- Lead development and enforcement of templates, standards, and systems that support faster, higher-quality responses.
- Lead internal marketing meetings and initiatives to align priorities, deadlines, and pursuit activities.
- Provide quality assurance across all marketing and proposal deliverables.
- Oversee creative development of visually compelling, client-focused marketing and pursuit collateral.
- Drive cross-team collaboration to streamline processes and improve efficiency across marketing operations.
Firmwide Marketing Strategy
- Partner with leadership to drive market positioning, client development, communications, and brand consistency.
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans, campaigns, collateral, and internal initiatives.
- Provide strategic oversight of marketing strategy, including measurement of ROI and performance metrics.
- Track pursuit metrics including hit rate, shortlist rate, proposal volume, and workload distribution.
- Use data-driven insights to improve pursuit strategy, resource allocation, and marketing effectiveness.
- Support digital marketing, thought leadership, and special projects as needed.
To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree (Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or English preferred).
- 5+ years of marketing/proposal experience in architecture, engineering, or professional services, including experience leading RFQ/RFP/SOQ responses and managing marketing staff.
- Experience in developing marketing team members (direct reports).
- Proven ability to lead complex, high-value pursuits in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of public agency procurement (RFQ/RFP) process.
- Excellent technical writing, professional listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to turn research and analysis into practical plans with timelines, structure, and budget considerations for leadership review and decision-making.
- Experience in creating and presenting company-wide or division-level marketing strategies to senior leadership, including clear recommendations supported by evidence-based data.
- Sensitivity to deadlines with a willingness to work necessary hours to meet them.
- Proficiency in Adobe, MS Office.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
