Position Summary: Provide research based instruction to assist student demonstration of success.
Essential Functions and Duties: Obtain and maintain MO DESE AEL teacher certification. Obtain a minimum of 20 professional development hours each year. Complete a two year mentoring program. Attend all local and state required workshops/training. Provide evidence based instruction that includes, but limited to, individual, group, on-line, peer tutoring and flip classroom. Provide student academic counseling. Assist students with goal setting. Collaborate with state and local entities to achieve student success. Recruit students and volunteers. Establish local community partnerships to assist with student support. Submit accurate monthly reports in a timely manner. May be required to serve on local/state Board/Committee.

Qualifications:

Department funded positions are available for both student and non-student applicants. These positions are limited to a maximum of 600 hours per fiscal year or 550 hours per fiscal year if the candidate is a retiree of the PSRS or PEERS Missouri Retirement System. A fiscal year is defined as July 1 to June 30. In addition, a part time employee can not work more than 17 hours per week unless the position has been budgeted and approved to work beyond this maximum.
