JOB TITLE: Firefighter II EMT/EMT-I/AEMT/ EMT-P
DEFINITION:
Morrow Fire Department provides emergency medical services and fire protection to the citizens and visitors of Morrow. The Department's mission is to save lives and protect property, and we have a prestigious history of doing this with many significant accomplishments.
This job is a safety-sensitive position that requires a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the City of Morrow Substance Abuse and Prevention Program. Qualified applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily in offices, vehicles, and outdoor settings in all weather
conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and night shifts. Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations. Individuals may be exposed to hearing alarms and hazards associated with fighting fires and rendering emergency medical assistance, including smoke, noxious odors, fumes, chemicals, liquid chemicals, solvents, and oils.
The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and loud at an emergency scene.
