Safe and effective operation of Bucket Trucks for assigned tasks

Mentor new hires as required.

Capability to carry and utilize a 28’-32’ ft ladder in locations inaccessible by bucket truck (ability to climb is advantageous).

Identify opportunities for improvement while creating and implementing viable solutions

Availability for emergency repair calls on a 24-hour standby schedule, including weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis with other standby crews.

Must be able to install & repair exterior cable hardline to include coax, 628 & 875, all counts of fiber & strands

Must be proficient in using a lasher

Prefer 2 years of experience but will train the right individuals

Proficiency in aerial hard line and fiber placement, encompassing new construction, repair, and replacement of existing cable systems.

Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

Perform other duties as assigned.

May occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch

Must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.

Required to lift 32-foot ladder.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

May be required to climb poles (with proper equipment), ladders, and other structures as necessary.

Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.

May occasionally works near moving mechanical parts

Must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The May occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.

May be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
