We are looking for an experienced Overhaul CNC Machinist to support aerospace component repair and rework operations in Berlin, CT. This role involves machining, restoring, and reworking aircraft engine components to precise specifications using advanced 4–5 axis CNC milling equipment.

This opportunity is ideal for machinists with aerospace overhaul or repair-station experience who are skilled in precision machining, tight-tolerance work, and component restoration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform overhaul and rework machining on aerospace and turbine engine components
• Restore and machine parts to required dimensions and specifications
• Operate and set up 4–5 axis CNC milling machines for precision aerospace applications
• Modify and adjust machining programs using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software
• Interpret engineering drawings, repair documentation, and GD&T requirements
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and fixturing issues to maintain production efficiency
• Maintain accurate setup sheets, machining records, and inspection documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience within an aerospace environment
• 1+ year setting up and operating 4-5 axis CNC milling machines
• Fanuc control experience is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace drawings, repair manuals, and GD&T
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, cutting methods, and tight-tolerance machining
• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical school training or machining certifications preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CAM programming using Mastercam or similar software
• Overhaul / part rework experience is a big plus
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
• Ability to improve setups, optimize cycle times, and increase machining efficiency
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
