What you’ll do

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
• Manage inventory levels through accurate forecasting and materials management practices.
• Utilize ERP systems, including SAP and JD Edwards, to track orders and maintain procurement records.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and evaluate existing vendor performance.
• Monitor purchasing trends and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize costs.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers while ensuring compliance with contracts.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a supply chain environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or AS400.

Preferred qualifications

• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
• Familiarity with materials requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control techniques.
• Experience in e-commerce purchasing processes and merchandising strategies.
• Knowledge of production planning principles and logistics management.
