Aesthetic Finishing Specialist/Spray Tan Technician

Job Summary
Skinn Bar is seeking a highly skilled Aesthetic Specialist with proven professional spray tanning expertise to lead and grow our finishing services. Experience in waxing and brow services is important but secondary to spray tanning proficiency. Applications without verifiable spray tanning expertise will not be considered. This role focuses exclusively on high-demand aesthetic services: professional lash lifts, brow lamination, body/facial waxing, and custom spray tanning. As this is a new service line for our medical spa, we are looking for a motivated professional eager to build their book of business within our existing high-end clientele.

Responsibilities

• Spray Tan Technician/Sunless Tanning: Execute custom, streak-free airbrush spray tan applications tailored to various skin tones. Must have at least 1 year of hands-on professional working experience on:

Handheld/Manual Airbrushing: (Using a turbine and gun).

Color Theory: (Knowing which solution to use for fair vs. olive skin).

Contouring: (Using the spray to define muscles or collarbones—a high-end skill).

• Lash & Brow Artistry: Perform professional lash lifts/tints, brow tints, and brow laminations with precision, ensuring consistent, high-quality results.
• Expert Hair Removal: Provide efficient and thorough body, facial, eyebrow waxing services while maintaining the highest standards of skin safety and hygiene.
• Client Consultations: Conduct thorough assessments to identify contraindications and recommend the best service combinations for each client’s goals.
• Sanitation & Compliance: Adhere to strict Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) protocols for tool sterilization and room resetting between every guest.
• Retail & Education: Educate clients on proper aftercare (e.g., lash serums, tan extenders) and recommend retail products to maintain results.
• Growth Mindset: Actively engage with our medical patients (Botox, Filler, Laser) to cross-promote finishing services and fill your schedule.

Schedule & Growth Roadmap

• Initial Phase: 14 hours per week.
• Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Scaling: As your book of business grows, we will transition the role to 3 days per week (Tues, Wednes, & Thurs), with the ultimate goal of moving to a Full-Time position as demand increases.

Skills

• Licensure: Must hold a current Texas Esthetician or Cosmetology License.
• Specialized Certifications: Proof of advanced training in Custom Tanning, Lash Lifting, Brow Lamination is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience performing these specific services in a medical spa or boutique environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of chemical processing times for lash/brow treatments and skin prep for sunless tanning.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and ensure client comfort during intimate services like waxing and tanning.
• Professional demeanor suitable for a medical clinical environment.

Compensation & Uniform

• Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour / 14 hours per week (no commission at this time).
• Uniform: Professional FIGS scrubs will be provided by the practice to ensure a cohesive, high-end medical spa aesthetic.
