Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical aesthetics, with experience in procedures such as dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and laser therapies. This role involves providing advanced aesthetic services in a professional environment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-quality care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. A background in various nursing disciplines including dermatology, ophthalmology, or plastic surgery is preferred, along with familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform aesthetic procedures including dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, laser treatments, and other non-invasive cosmetic interventions.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine suitability for aesthetic treatments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document all procedures in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and perform pre- and post-procedure evaluations to ensure safety.
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate care plans for patients requiring complex or combined treatments.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Manage patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to foster trust and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (NP) with current certification.
- Experience with esthetic laser treatments, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin injections, or related cosmetic procedures preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to aesthetic medicine.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterile processing.
- Excellent patient assessment skills and ability to perform physical examinations related to aesthetic treatments.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, ophthalmologists, or other specialists.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
