Aesthetic RN / Medical Esthetician & Laser Technician – Med Spa

Fab Medical Aesthetics is a growing, medical aesthetics practice in the Wake Forest/Raleigh area, known for high‑touch patient care and natural‑looking results. We are seeking an experienced Aesthetic RN with strong medspa experience and proficiency with IV therapy and advanced laser/energy‑based technologies to join our clinical team. An active esthetician license is a plus but not required.

About the role

As an Aesthetic RN / Medical Esthetician & Laser Technician at Fab, you will perform advanced facial and body treatments, IV therapy, and laser/energy‑based procedures under our medical protocols. You will conduct clinical assessments, start and manage IVs safely, and perform delegated laser treatments while educating patients and building long‑term treatment plans that align with our “subtle, natural aesthetic” philosophy.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform non‑invasive aesthetic treatments within your licensure and practice scope, including advanced facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling (if trained and permitted by protocol).
  • Perform IV drip and IV push therapies: obtain histories, start IVs, monitor patients, and manage complications according to established protocols.
  • Perform advanced cosmetic laser and energy‑based treatments delegated and supervised by our medical team (e.g., laser hair removal, IPL/photo‑facials, skin rejuvenation, resurfacing, RF microneedling, and other devices in our clinic).
  • Conduct comprehensive consultations: evaluate skin and overall health considerations, review medical history, obtain informed consent, and design multi‑visit treatment plans and homecare recommendations.
  • Educate patients on pre‑/post‑treatment care, skincare regimens, and realistic expectations for both IV and aesthetic treatments.
  • Document all assessments, treatments, medications/infusions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR, following all medical, documentation, and HIPAA standards.
  • Adhere strictly to laser safety, infection control, and medication administration protocols; participate in device‑specific and safety training.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, estheticians, and the front desk to ensure safe, efficient patient flow, strong re‑booking, and an elevated patient experience.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience, with at least 1–2 years in a medical aesthetics, dermatology, or plastic surgery practice strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience starting IVs and managing IV therapy in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Prior medspa laser/energy‑based experience required for advanced devices (e.g., laser hair removal, IPL, skin tightening/resurfacing, RF microneedling, or similar).
  • Formal training or certifications in cosmetic laser or aesthetic procedures strongly preferred.
  • North Carolina esthetician license is a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of skin physiology, common cosmetic concerns, and medical‑grade skincare.
  • Proven ability to consult, present treatment plans, close courses of treatment ethically, and build a loyal patient base.
  • Professional, calm bedside manner; able to build rapport with anxious or first‑time aesthetic and IV patients.
  • Comfortable working in a performance‑oriented medspa environment with expectations around re‑booking, production, and professional development.

Schedule and compensation

  • Part‑time or full‑time schedule (to be discussed), including some evenings and/or weekends.
  • Competitive hourly or salaried compensation based on experience, plus performance‑based incentives/commission on services and/or retail.
  • Employee treatment and product discounts, ongoing education and training, and growth opportunities within a multi‑location medical aesthetics practice.

How to apply

To apply, please submit:
