Job Overview

Prominent Upper East Side Dermatology Practice seeks a talented, well-spoken, patient-focused Licensed Aesthetician with a minimum of four years’ experience in a dermatology setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of aesthetic treatments including facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, microneedling, and laser-assisted procedures under physician supervision.
• Conduct thorough skin consultations and assessments; document findings, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in the EMR system.
• Educate patients on skincare regimens, post-procedure care, and maintenance protocols tailored to individual skin types and concerns.
• Assist dermatologists and advanced practice providers with cosmetic procedures, including pre- and post-treatment preparation and patient monitoring.
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment rooms; ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment in accordance with safety and infection-control protocols.
• Restock treatment rooms and aesthetic supplies to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Promote and sell medical-grade skincare products; maintain familiarity with the practice’s full product line.
• Coordinate with front desk and clinical staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with cosmetic laser and energy-based devices preferred
• Superior customer service skills and a warm, professional chairside manner
• 4+ years of experience in a dermatology setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication & advanced computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and License/Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Valid New York State Aesthetician License (Required)
• Additional certifications in laser/light-based treatments or advanced peels (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Dermatology: 4 years (Required)

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
