Overview
The Dermatology Clinic, PLLC is the only full-service dermatology practice on the Gulf Coast under the direction of board-certified Dermatologists. Dr. Wingfield, Dr. Ortego, and their team of physician assistants treat the full range of hair, skin, and nail disorders. In addition, we perform advanced techniques in skin resurfacing for scars and wrinkles, as well as botulinum treatment of wrinkles and all types of wrinkle fillers.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aesthetician/Laser Technician to join our team! Voted Best Places to Work on the MS Gulf Coast, The Dermatology Clinic, PLLC is a busy office with the goal of providing exceptional care and an excellent patient experience. This is a full-time position, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday in our Gautier clinic.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laser and aesthetic treatments and demonstrate proficiency in various skincare services. Applicants must be a Certified Laser Technician and/or Licensed Aesthetician with experience performing laser and medical aesthetic treatments.

Position Summary: The Aesthetician/Laser Technician will provide exceptional care to clients while utilizing advanced laser technology and aesthetic treatments under the supervision of the dermatologist and/or certified physician assistant. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin assessments and evaluate skin conditions to identify problems and recommend appropriate treatments and therapies.
• Perform aesthetic laser treatments with precision and care, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
• Competently and confidently perform skincare techniques, including but not limited to microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas, equipment, and tools in accordance with industry standards.
• Demonstrate strong time management; adhere to appointments in a timely manner.
• Educate patients on clinic services and therapies, as well as home care regimens.
• Utilize electronic medical records software for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Maintain extensive product knowledge; Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided to enhance client experiences.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in the industry to provide clients with the best service possible.
• Care for linens; replacing them between sessions and performing laundry duties as scheduled.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized experience.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice aesthetics and laser treatments in the state of Mississippi
• Experience with aesthetic and laser treatments
• Strong knowledge of aesthetic services such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, microneedling, medical grade skincare products, etc.
• Proficiency in salon or electronic medical records software systems, is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and hygiene practices.
