Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist

Valhalla Management oversees affordable housing communities in OK, KS, AR, MO, CO & Texas. Most properties operate under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, with a small number of Project-Based Section 8 (PBRA) sites. Position Summary The Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist ensures regulatory compliance across all LIHTC and PBRA properties, supporting site teams with certifications, audits, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement LIHTC and HUD requirement changes
• Maintain compliant tenant files
• Process move-ins, annual recerts, interims, and transfers
• Prepare compliance letters and required reports
• Conduct internal audits and assist with reviews
• Support new LIHTC lease-ups
• Ensure Fair Housing, Section 504, and ADA adherence
• Complete required trainings and meetings Qualifications
• HCCP Certification (Required)
• Strong LIHTC knowledge; PBRA familiarity preferred
• Affordable housing file audit experience
• Proficient in AppFolio or similar software
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
