After Care Teacher for Winter Intersession

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and creative After Care Teacher to join our Winter Intersession Program (December 22, 23,26, 29,30 & January 2, 2026.) This vital role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children after program hours (730-230). As an After Care Teacher, you will support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through creative activities, structured routines, and individualized attention. Very small class size--grades K-6.

There is the possibility of continued part-time employment.

Duties

• Supervise and manage children during after program hours (130-6pm), ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities including arts and crafts, sports, and educational games that promote childhood development
• Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that supports active learning and pla
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans

Qualifications

• Verifiable experience working with children in group settings at schools or community programs.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and behavior management techniques
• Ability to engage children through creative teaching methods including theater, sports coaching, or arts activities
• High School diploma or equivalency required. Bachelorʻs Degree preferred but not required.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.5 – 7 per week
