US Cargo is an established freight brokerage moving freight across the country for shippers and carriers nationwide. We're a tight-knit, fast-moving team, and we're expanding our after-hours operations.

About the Role

We're hiring for our After-Hours Operations desk to keep loads moving outside of standard business hours. You'll be the point of contact when the day shift wraps up tracking shipments, solving problems in real time, and keeping carriers and customers updated.

This is a growing team. an additional hires will be brought on board to share the after-hours coverage, so you won't be carrying the desk alone.

Coverage Hours

Our after-hours coverage window is:

• Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Schedules are built across the team, so two days off per week are guaranteed. Some shifts may run shorter than the full window depending on volume.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track active loads, providing timely updates to customers and carriers
• Dispatch, problem-solve, and handle exceptions (delays, breakdowns, detentions) as they arise
• Communicate professionally over phone and email during the after-hours window
• Document shipment activity and hand off cleanly to the next shift
• Support carrier check calls and resolve issues to keep freight moving

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in real time
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
• Freight, logistics, dispatch, or customer service experience a plus (not required — we'll train the right person)

Pay: $25.25 - $60,827.45 per hour
