After School Care Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate After School Care Leader to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills.
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times.
• Coordinate with parents, teachers, and other staff to support each child's individual needs and progress.
• Provide basic first aid when necessary, following proper health and safety protocols.
• Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusion among children.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, staff, and children.
• Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun and structured environment.
• Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus.
