After-School Chess Coach

MiniMasters Chess is looking for energetic and reliable assistant coaches to help run after-school chess programs for elementary school students throughout the Orlando area. This is a fun, part-time position perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids, teaching, and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Help manage and supervise students during chess club

Assist with beginner chess instruction and activities

Encourage good sportsmanship, focus, and participation

Help set up and clean up materials before and after class

Support head coaches during lessons, games, and tournaments

Create a fun and engaging environment for students

Qualifications

Basic to intermediate chess knowledge required

Comfortable working with elementary-aged children

Strong communication and leadership skills

Reliable transportation and punctuality

Positive attitude and professional behavior

Preferred

Chess.com rating around 1200+ preferred

Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or working with kids is a plus

Job Details

Part-time after-school hours

Typically between 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM on weekdays

Pay starts at $40 per session
