After School Family Assistant

We are seeking a responsible and dependable After-School Family Assistant to support a busy household with two school-age children (ages 5 and 4). This role is ideal for a high school graduate or college student who is organized, caring, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a structured home environment.

Schedule:

• 2–5 hours per day / 8–15 hours per week
• Monday–Thursday starting at 5:00 PM until parents return home (generally by 9:00 PM)
• Occasional Friday and weekend support may be needed
• Some flexibility required for transportation to modeling appointments in NYC
• Judo once per week requires availability at 4:00 PM

.Compensation: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of active driving experience in NJ
• Experience using New Jersey Transit (for modeling appointments)
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Residing in or near the Bloomfield area preferred
• Experience working with children
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities:

• Assist children with evening routines, including shower time, meal prep
• Prepare lunch bags for the next school day
• Transport children to activities (Judo, swimming, modeling auditions, playdates, etc.)
• Provide homework support and supervision
• Ensure children’s safety and maintain a structured, supportive environment
• Maintain clear communication with parents

Preferred (Additional Hours Opportunity)

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in digital marketing and social media, with the potential for additional hours while children are in school.
