This isn’t traditional teaching. Students brainstorm ideas, design products, build brands, practice marketing, and showcase their businesses in a lively Marketplace event. Your job? Help them think big, collaborate, and discover the excitement of turning ideas into reality.

What You’ll Do

• Lead engaging, activity-based entrepreneurship classes for Grades 1–5
• Simplify business concepts like marketing, branding, and finance through games and creative projects
• Foster teamwork, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment (up to 20 students)
• Guide students as they develop ideas and present them at the Marketplace Showcase

Ideal Candidate

• Naturally engaging and loves working with children
• Experience with elementary-aged students (teaching, camps, tutoring, enrichment, etc.)
• Comfortable leading interactive, hands-on lessons
• Organized, dependable, and a strong communicator
• Passionate about creativity, innovation, or business fundamentals

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children
• At least 2 years of college education
• Reliable transportation to Pacifica and nearby areas
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test
• Strong classroom management skills

Compensation

$25–$32 per hour
You’ll be paid 3 hours per class, which includes prep, coordination, teaching time, and dismissal procedures. Instructors should plan to arrive 20–30 minutes early and stay until all students are picked up.

Schedule

• After-school hours typically between 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Start with 1–3 days per week (Monday–Friday)
• Specific locations and schedules discussed during the interview
