Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated After-school Montessori Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities aligned with Montessori philosophy that promote hands-on learning, independence, and curiosity.
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs and developmental progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and respect for materials.
- Assist with homework support, tutoring, or enrichment activities as needed to reinforce learning objectives.
- Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents.
Skills
- Must have at least 12 ECE units and a high school diploma
- At least 1 year experience in the classroom
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and Montessori teaching methods.
- Experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, or tutoring programs.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain it prior to start date.
- Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
