Job Title: Program Assistant
Reports to: Program Director
Position Summary: Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP) seeks a part-time Program Assistant for its DYCD-funded COMPASS middle school program. The Program Assistant supports the Program Director with daily site operations, including coordinating supplies for teaching staff, assisting with data collection and data entry, and conducting parent outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Director with day-to-day operations
- Greet students and assist with daily sign-in, sign-out, and attendance tracking in compliance with DYCD requirements.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming program environment for all participants.
- Distribute and organize program materials, supplies, and snacks for staff and students.
- Assist with data collection, data entry, and completion of DYCD reports as needed.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding attendance, schedules, and general program updates.
- Provide logistical support during program activities, field trips, and special events.
- Help monitor student transitions between activities and ensure appropriate supervision at all times.
- Support enrichment, homework help, and group activities as directed by the Program Director.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the confidentiality of student information.
- Report incidents, concerns, or safety issues promptly to the Program Director
- Attend weekly check-ins with supervisor and participate in ongoing professional development provided by BCCP and DYCD’s professional development partners
- Comply with NYC DOE, DOHMH, DYCD, and NYS SACC regulations
Qualifications
- Current college undergraduates (AA+ preferred) and at least 2 years of experience working with youth
- 1-2 years of relevant administrative or database experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Suites
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2 PM to 6 PM (part-time, up to 19 hours per week)
Salary and benefits:
- $21 - $27
- Paid Time Off (sick leave, annual leave)

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
