Position: After-School Program Coordinator 2025-2026 School Year

Lake Mary Preparatory School was founded in 1999 and is one of the top co-educational, private, diverse prep schools in Seminole County, serving students in grades PreK4 through 12. Job Summary:

The After-School Program Coordinator manages all operations of the campus after-school and summer programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a network and relationship with community-wide vendors for the after-school and summer camp programs
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to generate interest in the after-school and summer camp programs
  • Enroll and retain required student numbers, providing orientation and handbooks to enrolled families
  • Provide communication to families regarding information on after-school and summer camp programs
  • Collaborate with the HR Director in the recruitment of staff and volunteers. Supervise all after-school staff during program hours. Conduct program orientation & training for staff
  • Develop & implement a system for regular communication with families, including announcements, emergency notifications, and quarterly newsletters
  • Collaborate with the Business Controller to ensure that target budget revenue and expense goals are tracked/met using the ProCare system
  • Collaborate with DCF to ensure all mandated monitoring and compliance, including but not limited to accurate enrollment and attendance data, and student/staff files, are in compliance with DCF regulations.
  • Supervision and management of the Lower School lunch program
  • Oversee staff and students in the daily running of after-school and summer programming- including but not limited to:
  • Ensure that each program has a schedule (and is followed consistently) with staff assigned to specific duties
  • Monitor staff schedules, including dismissing staff when enrollment decreases during the program day (i.e., parents pick up early)
  • Gather, organize, & distribute supplies for hands-on project-based learning and maintain site inventories of all program materials
  • Schedule behavior meetings/ interventions with families when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines set forth by LMP, HIPAA, Department of Children and Families (DCF), and compliance through the FL Department of Education (FLDOE)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Training: (or equivalent)

  • BA or Associate's degree in the field of education, public administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • DCF Director Credential Certification
  • CPR Certification Required within 90 days

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing after-school/ summer programming or youth development programming for elementary students
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • Strong organization, writing, and communication skills
  • Commitment to helping all students succeed
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage challenging situations while overseeing the supervision of students
