Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Tutoring School Program Coordinator to lead our educational programs and support our students’ learning journeys. In this paid role, you will oversee the daily operations of tutoring sessions, coordinate curriculum development, and ensure a positive classroom experience. Your enthusiasm for working with children and expertise in educational strategies will help create an inspiring environment where students thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach daily JEI math and English enrichment programs

- Prepare students for Algebra I Regents and other Regents-level subjects (Earth Science preferred)

- Oversee academic quality and instructor performance

- Grade JEI Connect (online grading tool) interim tests accurately and on time

- Supervise interns and assist with staff training

- Support afterschool operations and serve as floating instructor when needed

- Lead community outreach and instructor recruitment efforts

- Create social media and short-form academic content (TikTok, etc.)

- Assist with summer camp and mini-camp programs

Schedule:

Monday–Friday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Participation required in 2 of 3 annual mini-camps

Time Off:

- 5 PTO days annually

- Closed on NYC public school holidays, including religious observances

- Closed select Saturdays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Good Friday weekends)

- Winter break and end-of-August closure (1 to 2 weeks off until public schools reopen again)

Requirements:

- 3+ years teaching experience OR 1+ year at JEI

- Ability to teach Algebra I Regents

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Must own a personal vehicle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
