After School Program Teacher

Each One Teach One Childcare & Learning Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Afterschool Program Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and lead a variety of educational and recreational activities for school-aged children in our afterschool program. This role is essential in fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages learning, creativity, and positive social development. The Program Leader will serve as a mentor and role model, helping each child learn, grow, and thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities that align with the goals of the Each One Teach One Afterschool Program. Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children by establishing and maintaining clear behavior expectations and positive classroom management practices. Assist students with homework and provide academic support and tutoring in various subjects as needed.
• Supervise children during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners to enhance program offerings and address the unique needs of children in the program. Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and other documentation as required.
• Prepare and organize program materials and supplies.
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professional behavior, compassion, and a commitment to educational excellence.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any relevant program updates.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged children in an educational, recreational, or childcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging educational and recreational activities. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons and early evenings. Working
• hours generally from mid-afternoon to early evening during weekdays.
• Must be physically able to engage in activities with children, including playing games and supervising outdoor activities. Compensation: Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
