Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) is a Christian-based non-profit organization that exists to provide safe and fun neighborhood programming for kids to learn and grow. Programs include after school tutoring, summer field trips, seasonal sports, one-on-one mentoring, Bible studies, camps, and more. These programs for kids are supported by PTM staff, community and parent volunteers, and generous donors that support the work of PTM. PTM empowers our kids to discover and live their God-inspired dreams, develop a love for learning, and build joy-filled friendships that glorify Christ Jesus.

Reporting to the Area Program Director, the Site Director will be responsible for overseeing one of the PTM after-school sites. The Site Director will directly live out the mission of PTM each day by providing strong after-school programing that provides significant opportunities for youth to experience “joy-filled friendships” and to pursue their “God-inspired dreams.” All employees at PTM should represent the organization well to children and their families, volunteers,

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership & Mission Alignment

  • Ensure that all site staff and volunteers are in mission alignment
  • Participate meaningfully and significantly in staff and team meetings
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with co-workers, supervisors, and peers.
  • Regular communication with Area Program Director, providing updates about the site.

Program Oversight & Safety

  • Ensure PTM programs' safety measures and standards are followed with a focus on providing quality daily programming.
  • Maintains the appearance of meeting spaces and outside areas which includes keeping supplies, materials, and equipment in the rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.

Youth Development & Engagement

  • Builds inclusive program environment and makes adaptations as needed
  • Interacts with children on their individual levels of development and provides guidance and coaching when needed.
  • Plans and coordinates the implementation of daily age-appropriate enrichment and bible lesson plans, Monday through Thursday, as well as special activities on Fun Fridays.

Data & Reporting

  • Uses PTM data systems to capture data relevant to program goals and reporting.
  • Maintaining weekly food partnerships by collecting and reporting necessary data each day
  • Welcome and orient volunteers upon arrival, clearly communicate expectations, and assign roles and responsibilities to ensure effective support of daily programming.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to foster a positive and mission-aligned volunteer experience.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, families, and the community.
  • Participate in family engagement events, partner school functions, and community outreach activities to strengthen relationships and promote program visibility.

Requirements

  • Background in education, youth development, or child development.
  • Two years of experience working with school-age children or managing youth programs
  • Associate's degree in Child Development, Education or related field.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the developmental stages of a child.
  • Have proficient computer skills.
  • Behavior and classroom management skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to inspire children through creative programming while demonstrating strong leadership. Role is part time and training for school year will start on July 27, 2026.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour
