After School STEM Instructor

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated After School STEM Instructors to join our educational team. Duties

• Lead hands-on STEM activities and experiments tailored to 3 to 6 years age groups
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment through effective behavior management techniques
• Develop lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking
• Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
• Incorporate elements of special education or accommodations as needed to support diverse learners
• Implement safety protocols including basic first aid when necessary
• Foster a love of learning by integrating fun, creative approaches such as theater or sports coaching elements when appropriate

Qualifications

• Prior experience with children in settings such as daycare, camp counseling, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management skills and experience with behavior management strategies
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development preferred
• Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage children through interactive teaching methods
• Passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners to explore science and technology topics
