After School Teacher-Floater

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful educational experiences, and support their academic and personal growth. This role requires a commitment to nurturing young minds and promoting a love for learning. We are a biblical based childcare center where we teach children from the bible. During the summer, you will attend field trip with the students.

Duties

  • Develop and engage in activities that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive after school environment.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and special education assistance as needed.
  • Create engaging activities that promote early childhood education principles and encourage student participation.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Afterschool experience or CDA is preferred.
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early childhood education principles.
  • Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support to children is beneficial.
  • Background in bible study teaching or similar approaches is an asset.
  • First aid certification is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Cordova, TN 38016 (Preferred)
