Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging after-school activities that promote childhood development, including arts, sports, and educational games.
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Supervise children during homework time, providing tutoring support as needed to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Ensure the safety of all children by practicing proper childcare procedures, including first aid and emergency response protocols.
  • Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention in collaboration with specialists when necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through clear communication and compassionate Christian counseling principles when appropriate.
  • Maintain organized records of daily activities, attendance, and behavioral notes to track each child's progress.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages is essential.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during all activities.
  • Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive environments is a plus.
