Aftercare Teacher

Job Summary

Duties

• Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, including arts, sports, theater, and educational games
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respect and cooperation
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and caregivers to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid procedures
• Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements
• Lead or assist in organizing extracurricular activities such as tutoring sessions, sports coaching, or Christian counseling programs

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting roles
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Ability to handle behavioral challenges with professionalism and care
• Experience working with children who have special needs or require individualized support
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members

Pay: $19.06 - $22.00 per hour
