Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1pm-6pm (25 hours/week)

About the Children:
Child A (5 year old boy): Thrives with movement, engagement, and hands-on play. Loves being outdoors, swimming, building, puzzles, and Legos; is energetic, curious, and benefits from support with transitions and certain daily tasks (such as putting on shoes).

The child has sensory processing differences and is actively supported by an Occupational Therapist. As the nanny, you will be implementing sensory-informed routines with ongoing guidance from OT.

While he prefers active play, part of the role will include gently encouraging less preferred activities (such as coloring), using strategies provided by the OT.

Responsibilities:

• After school pick up (family can provide a vehicle for transportation)
• Planning and leading engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Supporting sensory needs and transitions using OT guidance
• Driving the child to activities using the family’s car
• Maintaining organization of child-related spaces
• Help with laundry for child
• Daily communication/logging for parents

Ideal Candidate:
You are:

• Warm, calm, and enthusiastic
• Experienced with special needs and/or sensory processing differences
• Active and enjoy outdoor play and swimming
• Structured, organized, and naturally tidy
• Patient and skilled with transitions and behavioral support

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with sensory processing differences or special needs
• Comfortable swimming (family has a pool)
• Strong, clean driving record (family car provided)
• Flu vaccine required (COVID NOT required)

Additional Notes:

• The child’s sibling has their own nanny — this role is focused solely on the 5-year-old
• At least one parent may be working from home
• No pets in the home

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
