Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a part-time Infant Teacher, working from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the afternoon hours
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional development based on childhood development principles
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and needs to support individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily updates and developmental milestones
- Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and playtime with patience and consistency
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and environment to meet their unique requirements
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and childhood development stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively
- Strong caregiving skills with a nurturing attitude towards young children
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and respond promptly to emergencies
