Position Overview

Twin Cities Community Preschool (TCCP) is seeking Afternoon and Summer Program Teachers to support our extended-day and seasonal programming. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy working with young children in a play-based environment and are looking for part-time, afternoon, or summer teaching opportunities.

Schedules and responsibilities vary by season and program needs. This position may include afternoon support during the school year, summer camp teaching, or both with the opportunity to advance.

Schedule Options

  • Afternoon Program: School-year afternoons (12pm-4pm)
  • Summer Program: Seasonal summer sessions
  • Part-time and seasonal opportunities available

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support children’s play and learning in a developmentally appropriate, play-based environment
  • Engage with children in a warm, responsive, and attentive manner
  • Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and supervision
  • Help prepare and maintain engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces
  • Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers and work alongside parent-teachers
  • Support children’s social-emotional development through relationship-centered interactions
  • Follow licensing regulations and school policies

Qualifications

  • Interest in early childhood education and play-based learning
  • Experience working with young children preferred
  • ECE units a plus (or willingness to pursue coursework)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current health clearance, including TB test
  • Background check and fingerprint clearance
  • Comfort working in a parent-participation / cooperative preschool environment
