Duties

• Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with classroom management by organizing activities and maintaining a positive environment
• Support teachers and program coordinators with lesson implementation, including tutoring and educational games
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative conduct among children
• Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, theater, or outdoor play to encourage creativity and physical activity
• Collaborate with staff to develop individualized support plans for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and foster a respectful environment
• Experience working with children in daycare, camp, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles
• Ability to provide first aid and handle emergency situations confidently
• Effective communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members
• Familiarity with tutoring, childcare, or babysitting roles that involve nurturing young learners
• Background in special education, Christian counseling, sports coaching, theater arts or similar fields is a plus for enriching program activities
