Duties

• Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, and educational exercises tailored to each child's needs
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support individual childhood development goals
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration and play
• Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral concerns

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable
• Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Familiarity with special education needs and early childhood education principles is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a lively environment with enthusiasm and patience
• Background in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or camp counseling can be beneficial for creating diverse activities

Pay: $16.27 per hour
