After School Teacher Responsibilities:
Supervision & Safety:
Supervision & Safety:
- Maintain active supervision of all children at all times.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Follow all school policies, licensing regulations, and emergency procedures.
Program Implementation:
- Lead engaging activities such as homework help, arts and crafts, games, and enrichment projects.
- Create a positive, structured routine for students during after-school hours.
- Prepare materials needed for daily activities.
- Support children in completing homework and provide guidance when needed.
Behavior Guidance:
- Use positive guidance techniques to manage behavior.
- Encourage cooperation, respect, and problem-solving among students.
- Address conflicts calmly and appropriately, following program discipline policies.
Communication:
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Communicate any concerns, incidents, or important updates to the Director promptly.
- Greet parents during pick-up and provide brief updates when necessary.
Recordkeeping & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Document incidents or injuries following program procedure.
- Ensure all required forms and sign-ins are completed daily.
Teamwork & Professionalism:
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and support program needs.
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Model professionalism, reliability, and positive behavior at all times.
