What You’ll Do
- Supervise and ensure the safety of school-age children during afterschool hours
- Lead structured activities, including homework support, games, and enrichment
- Create a positive and engaging environment where children feel supported
- Manage transitions, snack time, and group activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations
What You Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- DCF 45-Hour Training (completed or within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively participate in classroom activities
- Must pass Level II background screening
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with school-age children
- Experience in a childcare, camp, tutoring, or classroom setting
- Strong classroom management and group leadership skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for potential after-school pick-ups)
