What You’ll Do

• Supervise and ensure the safety of school-age children during afterschool hours
• Lead structured activities, including homework support, games, and enrichment
• Create a positive and engaging environment where children feel supported
• Manage transitions, snack time, and group activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom space
• Communicate professionally with families and team members
• Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations

What You Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• DCF 45-Hour Training (completed or within 90 days of hire)
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively participate in classroom activities
• Must pass Level II background screening

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience working with school-age children
• Experience in a childcare, camp, tutoring, or classroom setting
• Strong classroom management and group leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for potential after-school pick-ups)
