Job Summary
MetroWest Mediation Services is seeking an instructor for a twice-weekly after-school Conflict Resolution course for elementary students in Framingham.

You will be provided with a general curriculum and lesson plans. We are looking for someone who can adapt it as necessary to engage an after-school elementary school audience.

The ideal candidate will have teaching or camp experience working with elementary aged youth. You will have strong classroom management skills and a capacity for engaging youth in a dynamic way. An interest in mediation and/or conflict resolution is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging conflict resolution lessons tailored to the age group
  • Manage classroom behavior
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment that encourages participation and respect
  • Collaborate with the Director of Community Dispute Resolution & external partners in the delivery of the services

Experience

  • Prior experience working with elementary aged children in settings such as school, camp or tutoring
  • Knowledge of classroom management and behavior management techniques

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with elementary aged youth and interested in incorporating conflict resolution into activities and games to create a fun learning environment.

Must be able to commute to Framingham twice a week in the afternoon (3pm or 4pm.)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 4 per week
