Agile Coach / Scrum Master

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Certified Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery efforts within a growing organization undergoing Agile transformation. This role will support teams in an environment that is early in Agile maturity and requires a strong servant leader who can drive structure, accountability, and measurable improvement.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience leading Scrum teams in software or IT environments and is comfortable guiding organizations through Agile adoption and cultural change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and Scrum best practices
  • Drive Agile transformation within a team that is still maturing in its Agile adoption
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions to maintain sprint focus
  • Partner with Product Owners to refine, prioritize, and manage the product backlog
  • Establish accountability, transparency, and consistent delivery practices
  • Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint health) to ensure visibility and data-driven decisions
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase team effectiveness and delivery predictability
  • Promote Agile engineering best practices including CI/CD, test-driven development, and iterative delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership and other Scrum Masters to align Agile practices across the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or similar Agile certification
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development, IT, or business transformation environments
  • Experience leading teams through at least two full Agile project lifecycles
  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Agile scaling frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar Agile management tools
  • Proven ability to drive Agile transformation in low-maturity environments
  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to influence without authority
